Every witch's shelf has at least one bottle that looks like it should come with a story... and this is probably the one everyone knows better than to open.
Black Widow is a handmade decorative potion created to capture the look of an antique apothecary bottle that's been quietly waiting in the shadows for decades. Left sitting on the shelf, the potion settles into a rich, deep purple. Give it a gentle shake and it transforms into swirling ribbons of dark and light purple that slowly twist together before settling once again.
Mesmerizing? Absolutely. Drinkable? Definitely not.
The glass bottle measures approximately 7¼" tall, 1½" wide, and 1½" deep, giving it the tall, elegant silhouette of a classic Victorian apothecary bottle. It's finished with twine, black and silver beads, and a detailed spider charm for just the right touch of creepy.
Wrapping around two sides of the bottle is an antique-inspired label featuring a black widow spider surrounded by delicate webs, winding vines, and floral details. The label also includes the potion's name, its magical "power," and a warning that may or may not have been ignored by previous owners.
Each bottle is handmade by me, Kris Williams, so every one has its own subtle character. The cork is permanently sealed with glue and black wax to preserve the display. Over time, the liquid inside can naturally cause the cork to swell slightly, which may create small cracks in the wax seal. This is completely normal and doesn't detract from the bottle's appearance—in fact, it only enhances the aged, antique look these potions are designed to have.
Please note: This is a decorative display piece only. It is not edible or drinkable, and the bottle is permanently sealed.
Limited Release
Only 10 Black Widow bottles have been made.
Once they're gone, they're gone. They'll be available for three weeks or while supplies last, whichever comes first. There are no plans to make more this year, making this a true limited-edition piece.
Whether it's displayed on a bookshelf, tucked into a cabinet of curiosities, or standing proudly among your Halloween décor year-round, Black Widow looks exactly like the kind of potion that comes with a warning... and for once, you should probably listen to it.
